007 A James Bond Evening – A Resounding Success

The President’s Fundraising Dinner held on the 4th of April 2024 was an overwhelming success, leaving attendees with unforgettable memories of a night filled with fun, glamour, and impact. With the theme “007: A James Bond Evening,” the event captured the essence of sophistication and intrigue, transporting guests into the world of the iconic secret agent. One of the highlights of the evening was a highly successful auction, which played a pivotal role in raising funds for the South African Institute of Black Property Practitioners (SAIBPP) Property Academy. The generous contributions made during the auction will enable SAIBPP to continue its important initiatives, including the bursary fund, mentorship programme, and training and skills development initiatives.

The proceeds from the auction will directly support the SAIBPP’s efforts to empower aspiring property practitioners through educational opportunities, mentorship, and the acquisition of essential skills. By investing in the next generation of professionals, SAIBPP is actively working towards creating a more diverse and inclusive property sector.

The President’s Fundraising Dinner not only provided a platform for fundraising but also served as a celebration of the impact SAIBPP has made in the industry. It brought together like-minded individuals, industry leaders, and supporters who share a common vision of promoting equality and opportunity within the property sector.

SAIBPP is grateful for the continued support and looks forward to building upon the success of the President’s Fundraising Dinner. Through collaborative efforts and ongoing initiatives, SAIBPP remains dedicated to creating lasting change and driving positive impact within the property sector. We would like to give a shout out to our venue partner Pharoah Auto Investments, our dinner partner Fullserve, our auctioneer Kwanele (Riley Auctions Africa) as our table sponsors ENZA Construction, Inkanyeli Developments, IHS and REIM.

Pre-Convention Conversations

As we gear up to our Annual Convention, SAIBPP and it’s committees will be carrying out a Webinar Series every Thursday from 6-7pm to unpack what we are doing to level the playing field, these sessions will not only shine light on the work SAIBPP and its committees are doing but also paint a picture on what a transformed and level property sector could look like. This week we will have our Policy and Advocacy committee unpacking this discussion for us.
