Annual Convention 2025 Highlights
The South African Institute of Black Property Practitioners (SAIBPP) successfully hosted its Annual Convention at the Durban ICC from 25 to 26 June 2025, under the theme “Elevate: Compliance to Impact”. The two-day event unpacked critical discussions on compliance metrics and how the property sector can shift towards more impactful, transformative initiatives.
Key highlights included:
- SAIBPP Biennial AGM (Day 1): Election of the new SAIBPP Board for 2025–2027
- SAIBPP100 Class of 2025 Announcement Dinner (Day 2): Honouring leading black property practitioners for their contribution to sector transformation

Sector Policy Engagements
White Paper on Local Government (WPLG) Review
SAIBPP has made a formal submission aligned with its transformation and spatial equity mandate, focusing on inclusive infrastructure and local economic empowerment. The submission deadline has been extended to 31 July 2025. Members are encouraged to submit their inputs.
Social Facilitation Framework – DPWI
The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure has released a guideline to improve community engagement in infrastructure development. SAIBPP invites members to comment on the integrated framework.
