Strategic Objectives

A)   Engage public sector to:

a.    cement and execute SAIBPP role in the execution of government economic empowerment plans
b.    aid in effective practical implementation of government programmes

B)       Engage private sector to:

a.    assist in implementation of transformation objectives
b.    provide access to relevant skills and services from member base
c.    develop supplier development

C)       Provide value to current member base and aim to increase membership by:

a.    facilitation of networking opportunities
b.    provision of support with regards to skills development
c.    facilitation of access to economic opportunities in the Western Cape
d.    having yearly roadshows during orientation weeks at universities in the Western Cape to make students aware of SAIBPP and its mandate

D)      Facilitation of talent acquisition that contributes to transformation by:

a.    creating a portal for which companies can advertise positions that are relevant to SAIPBB professionals
b.    Creating a database where SAIBPP members can register their CVs so as to link the right talent with the company
c.    Partnering with universities to promote learnership and growth
d.    Developing an incubation programme for entrepreneurs in the property sector

E)    Conduct a Desktop study on the Western Cape Property industry by:

a.    collecting data on the registered black property companies and black property professionals
b.    understanding the property projects/deals that are currently being concluded in the Western Cape and whether transformation has been considered in these deals/projects
c.    Understanding how the City of Cape Town is managing transformation when property development projects are being considered

SAIBPP WC will host a series of events aimed at SAIBPP members and key industry stakeholders. Non-member stakeholder engagement is advised as the first action with feedback given to members thereafter. Member events will focus on the topics of skills development, business advice and awareness of/access to opportunities in the property and built environment sector.

This event aims to inform members of the support that is available within SAIBPP for enterprise development within the property sector. This event will be hosted in partnership with EDP as they have specific programmes in place for enterprise development within the property sector.

Youth in Property Seminar

Digitisation in the property sector
This is a one-day long seminar which will take place at the University of Cape Town. This seminar will be hosted/presented by Prof Francois Viruly. The objective of the seminar is to share with our SAIBPP members how digitisation affects the property sector

This is an event that looks to share with our SAIBPP members the achievements for the Year 2017 and the highlights for 2018

SAIBP WC Lunch with the Mayor Of Cape Town
This a breakfast meeting with the mayor of Cape Town to unpack the property sector in Cape Town and what the city of Cape Town is doing to aid transformation in the property sector.

This is an Annual General Meeting that is supposed to take place in line with the Constitution.

Entrepreneurship Programme / Course with UCT
This is a programme that is still in discussion with the University of Cape Town. It is a course that will be launched in partnership with UCT. The course will take a few days and at its completion, attendants will be issued with a certificate. The modules are still under discussion.
